Sally's Scuba Site
MV Oyster - Red Sea

The MV Oyster is a wonderful boat. 32m long and consisting of accomodation for 20 guests and 12 crew it cruises the Red Sea with no difficulty. Even in rough weather (and yes it did get rough!) she was guided magnificently by the Captain, a veteran of Red Sea sailing.

The rooms available vary. On the Lido Deck (Upstairs), there are 3 twin bedded rooms (where the beds are side by side) and 1 double bedroom. Below deck there are 6 further rooms, 2 with twin beds as above and the rest with Bunk beds. All rooms are on-suite and one of the exciting features to be looked forward to, is the installation of flushing toilets during the re-fit!!! I'm sure anyone who has been on a liveaboard can appreciate this!

The food onboard was absolutely outstanding. We had a lovely cooked breakfast every morning served buffet style. Lunch was also served as a buffet and consisted of three courses, soup, main course and dessert, usually fruit. Dinner was a sit down affair and again three courses, this time a non soup starter, main course and some delicious freshly made desert. The chef must be congratulated for the amazing creations he put together in what must've been a very small galley. The roast turkey was certainly one of the high points food wise anyway!
